The Marathon's beautiful course starts at an elevation of 5400 ft. The five legs of the relay will take your team by open roads, green fields, a beautiful gushing river, through Ogden Canyon with breathtaking views of pine covered slopes changing into steep rock faces, with a view of quaint homes nestled along the river's edge. The course ends downtown on Historic 25th street at an elevation of 4,309 Feet.
RELAY BREAKDOWN
- Relay Teams may have 2 to 5 participants
- Each participant must complete their own registration to join a team
- Teams will compete in one of four divisions; Men's, Women's & Mixed Gender
- The team captain will pay for the entire team to secure their spot and will pick up the whole team's packet at the Expo. Only the team captain's ID is required. Pick up for the entire team only. No single pickups.
- Teammates will pass a timing chip bracelet from the first leg to the next. The timing chip is a velcro band that you can adhere to your body ( wrist, ankles, etc ) or clothing ( running vest, armband, etc. ). The timing chip band must be carried by the person running the current pre- designated leg.
- Once you have finished your leg you may continue to run the next leg(s) with your team mate(s) if you wish to continue or there will be a bus waiting for you at the exchange points.
START & FINISH
- Leg One (7 miles) - starts with the Marathon at 7 a.m. just below Red Rock Outfitters Ranch located 8 miles east of Huntsville on Highway 39 and goes to mile 7
- Leg Two (6.1 miles) - starts at mile 7 and goes to mile 13.1
- Leg Three (5 miles) - starts at mile 13.1 and goes to mile 18
- Leg Four (5 miles) - starts at mile 18 and goes to mile 23.1
- Leg Five (3.1 miles) - starts at mile 23.1 and goes to Finish Line at Historic 25th Street
PACKET PICKUP
- Friday before the race from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm @ Ogden Eccles Conference Center, 2415 Washington Blvd, Ogden Utah 84401 .
- The team captain's ID is the only one required for packet pick-up. Team captain must pick up packets for the entire team, no single pickups.
- The Fun & Fitness Expo presented by Fleet Feet is located at the Ogden Eccles Conference Center, 2415 Washington Blvd, Ogden Utah 84401
PARKING
- There is no parking at the start of Leg One & Leg Two
- Limited parking available at the start of Leg Three - must find own return to the vehicle
BUS LOADING
LEG ONE & TWO
- Load 4:45 am - 5:15 am
- 2510 Washington Blvd. (East side of Washington Blvd.) in front of the Bigelow Hotel.
- You will ride the buses with the Full Marathon participants. The last bus will leave at 5:15 am sharp.
LEG THREE
- Load 4:45 am - 5:15 am
- 2491 Washington Blvd. (West side of Washington Blvd.) In front of Key Bank.
- You will ride the buses with the Half Marathon participants. The last bus will leave at 5:15 am sharp.
LEG FOUR
- Load 7:00 am - 7:30 am
- 2440 Washington Blvd. in front of GOAL Foundation Building (East side of Washington Blvd.)
- The last bus will leave at 7:30 am sharp.
LEG FIVE
- Load 7:30 am - 8:00 am
- 2440 Washington Blvd. in front of GOAL Foundation Building (East side of Washington Blvd.)
- The last bus will leave at 8:00 am sharp.
SHUTTLE TO THE FINISH
- Once you have completed your relay leg, there will be buses waiting to shuttle relay participants to the finish line. Bus schedules may vary and participants are not guaranteed to make it to the finish line before their team has finished the race.
AID STATIONS | COURSE SUPPORT
- Start, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 14, 15.5, 17, 18, 20, 21.5, 23, 24, 25
- Water and Gatorade will be provided at every aid station
- Portable Restrooms will be available at the start line and each aid station
- Energy gel will be available at miles: 5, 9, 17 and 23
- Fruit will be available at miles: 7, 13, 18, 23
- Minor first aid supplies will be available at all aid stations.
MEDALS & AWARDS
- The Leg 5 runner will turn in the timing chip bracelet and collect all of the medals for the Relay Team to disperse them to teammates once OUTSIDE of the finish chute. There is a tent labeled "Relay Team Medals" in the chute near all the medals. Runners from legs 1-4 will be allowed a one-time entry to the chute south of the finish line for snacks and nutrition.
- A team award plaque will be awarded to the top 3 teams in each division category. The Relay Team awards announcement is at 11:45am at the Main Stage.
WHAT IS THE CORPORATE CUP TRAVELING TROPHY?
The Corporate Cup Traveling Trophy is a Relay Team challenge open to businesses and organizations competing in any division (Male, Female, or Mixed Teams.) If you would like to be included in this challenge, please make sure your Team Captain registered in the Corporate Cup Relay Team category. Your team captain may change to this category in their participant portal up to the transfer deadline.
